Simplifying Your Care & Supporting Our Community: Your Fall Update from 501 Pharmacy 🩺💙
As life speeds up this fall, 501 Pharmacy is here to help you slow down, simplify your routine, and stay connected with our Chapel Hill and Pittsboro communities. In this month’s blog, we’re highlighting free, remote patient monitoring, easy prescription options, ways to support local schools and charities, and of course, a little ice cream reward for taking care of your health!
Taking the Stress Out of Healthcare: Are You Taking Advantage of Our Free RPM Program? 📈

For years, we’ve been helping our patients take control of their health right from the comfort of home —and we want to make sure you aren’t missing out! 501 Pharmacy offers FREE Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM).
Think of RPM as a direct line between you, your pharmacy team, and your doctors. It allows us to regularly review your medications, keep an eye on your ongoing health conditions, and closely coordinate care with your physicians—all without requiring an extra trip to the clinic.
One Trip, Once a Month (or Less!) 📅✨

Stop making multiple trips to the pharmacy every month! With our MedSync program, we align all of your prescription refills so they are ready for pickup on the exact same day.
Instead of juggling different pickup dates throughout the month, you get one simple, predictable routine. Those with 90-day refills can cut it to just four pharmacy trips per year — all of your medications in a single errand, making it the ultimate way to declutter your calendar and save time.
- Pro Tip: Call 984-999-0501 and ask for Cameron to get your medications synced up today!
Direct Prescriptions for Birth Control Are Now at 501 Pharmacy 💊✨

In case you missed our big news last month, getting your birth control just got a whole lot easier!
Our owner and lead pharmacist, Han Su, PharmD, completed advanced, state-approved training through the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP). Thanks to updated North Carolina healthcare legislation, Han can now evaluate your health needs, conduct a quick screening (including a blood pressure check), write your prescription, and dispense your birth control—all during one convenient, confidential visit right here at 501 Pharmacy.
Key Details You Need to Know:
- Available Options: Oral contraceptives (the pill) and transdermal contraceptives (the patch).
- Eligibility: Available to patients 18 and older, as well as under 18 with parent/guardian consent.
- How to Book: Appointments are required for consultations.
Last Chance to Support Swim Across America This Year
It’s your final opportunity to help us make waves in the fight against cancer!
Han’s sons, Kai and Kasen, are hitting the water once again with NCAC on Saturday, September 26, 2026. They are swimming to raise critical funds through Swim Across America for UNC’s Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
We could not be prouder of their hard work and commitment to funding life-saving cancer research right here in our community.
Building a Community Without Hunger: Donate to CORA at 501 Pharmacy

We are proud to serve as an official community drop-off location for CORA!
CORA’s mission is to build a community without hunger by providing nutritious food to neighbors facing food insecurity through its choice food pantries and programs. Donations collected at 501 Pharmacy go directly to the CORA Food Pantry, which provides crucial emergency food assistance to individuals and families across Chatham County.
Most-Needed Nonperishable Food Items
Next time you stop by to pick up a prescription, consider bringing a few of these recommended items to drop in our donation bin:
- Canned Goods: Beans, veggies, soups, pasta sauce (no glass containers), and fruits/fruit cups (no applesauce)
- Canned Proteins: Chicken, tuna, salmon, and ham
- Pantry Staples: Cereal, flour, pasta, rice, cooking oil, and spices
- Spreads & Baking: Peanut/almond butter, mac and cheese, and pie/cookie/brownie mixes
- Fresh Produce: Fresh apples are also welcome!
Give the Gift of Sight: Lions Club Eyeglass Recycling is Back 👓✨

The Lions Clubs International Lions for Sight program is officially back at 501 Pharmacy! If you have extra eyeglasses, readers, or sunglasses at home, stop by our shop and place them in our donation drop box to help someone in need.
Shop Small, Support Local: Where Your Dollars Stay in Our Community 🏫💙
We are thrilled to announce that 501 Pharmacy is a proud sponsor of the Margaret B. Pollard Middle School PTSA once again this year! Go Mustangs! 🎒
When you choose to shop small and support local businesses, your dollars do way more than just buy medicine — they go directly back into our neighborhood kids, teachers, and schools. (Ask yourself: when was the last time a big-box chain or massive mail-order pharmacy sponsored your local school’s fundraiser?)
We love our community, and we are honored to give back to the places and families that make Chapel Hill and Pittsboro such a special place to live!
Fall Means Sweater Weather… and Ice Cream Weather 🍦🍂

The autumn chill is officially here, but who says ice cream is just for summer?
As the weather cools down, don’t forget that a sweet treat hits the spot no matter what the thermometer says outside! Next time you’re in to pick up a prescription, drop off a donation, or chat with our team, stop by the counter to check out our eight rotating flavors of local Maple View ice cream. You can also see what flavors are available anytime online!
It’s the ultimate reward for taking care of your health this fall! 🍦✨
