Recent Happenings at 501 Pharmacy
It’s almost November, and we’ve already been quite busy this fall! We’ve had the pleasure of participating in lots of events, fundraisers, sponsorships, and more—and can’t wait for more to come! Zumba Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and so we did our part by sponsoring 7 Dance Centre‘s Pink Zumba Fundraiser on Oct. 19 in which they put together comfort and care baskets for local women who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. The fundraiser was a sweet success!
Cancer Research Donations
By the beginning of October, we raised $336—compared to $192 last year—for Swim Across America‘s event benefitting the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. In total, the event donated over $155,000! We thank everybody who helped the cause by donating!
Vaccinating the Community
We’re keeping the community healthy one shot at a time! Last month, we helped vaccinate residents of the Encore Lifestyle Club at Briar Chapel with flu shots. This. month we also vaccinated the employees at Galloway Ridge, Dermatology Laser Chapel Hill, Fearrington Cares, and FV Real Estate & Community. Through these various off-site vaccination events, we’ve vaccinated over 350 patients with flu shots, COVID shots, and RSV shots in this month alone!
