Toys for Tots

Thank you so much to everyone who has already brought in a toy for Toys for Tots! We have already had to have our box picked up once and it is filling up again!

If you haven’t donated, please consider bringing in a toy next time you are at the pharmacy. All of the toys go to less fortunate children in Chatham County.

Briar Chapel PORCH

We are collecting food donations for Briar Chapel PORCH – a grassroots hunger relief organization. Donations go to the Chatham OutReach Alliance (CORA) food pantry and our local schools.

The ReRUN Shoe Project

Han’s wife, Kristy, (and our neighbor at Carolina Convenient Care) and his daughter, Abby, are collecting gently used shoes to be able to go on their church mission trip next summer to Costa Rica.

The shoes go to ReRUN, an organization that collects gently used running shoes and then distributes them to those in need.

Lions for Sight

Since Lions Clubs International was founded in 1917, Lions have worked on projects designed to prevent blindness, restore eyesight and improve eye health and eye care for hundreds of millions of people worldwide.

We are collecting unused glasses. Please consider donating to this awesome cause.

Chatham Reads and Chatham Education Foundation

Chatham Reads and Chatham Education Foundation are holding a holiday book drive of new and gently used books to distribute to children in Chatham County. Please drop your books off at 501 Pharmacy before December 17, 2018.

What’s Happening at 501 Pharmacy

There’s always something new happening at your favorite local pharmacy. Here is a summary of what is going on this month and what’s to come.

It’s Not Too Late to Get Your Flu Shot

Have you gotten your flu shot? If not there is still time! Everyone who is six months or older should get the flu vaccine every season.

Influenza or the flu is a very serious disease that can lead to hospitalization or even death. Every flu season is unique and the flu affects everyone differently. Even a person who is very healthy can get sick from the flu or a flu-related illness and spread it to others.

Flu vaccinations last an entire year. We have regular and also high dose flu shots for patients 65 and over still available.

Stop by 501 Pharmacy Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., or on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., to get your flu shot with no appointment needed. Flu shots are just $35 for cash-paying patients and are free if you have Medicare B, TRICARE, or Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina.
