Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday, November 27, 2019): Open 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28, 2019): Closed

Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24, 2019): Open 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Christmas Day (Tuesday, December 25, 2019): Closed

New Year’s Eve (Tuesday, December 31, 2019): Open 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

New Year’s Day (Wednesday, January 1, 2020): Closed

Previously called the 501 Pharmacy App, we have switched over to the RxLocal App to make things easier for our patients and to provide you with even more benefits! The RxLocal App brings the best features of 501 Pharmacy right to the palm of your hand.  With the app, you are able to order and manage you and your family’s medications, text our pharmacy team, set reminders to pick up or request refills, and more! Convenience is key and our patient app makes it easier for you to interact with 501 Pharmacy from all your smart devices.

How to Download the App

Click on the links below to download the RxLocal App for free for iPhone or for Android or text RXLOCAL to 64890. Then follow the step-by-step instructions below.

  1. Select “Register for an Account Now”
  2. Select North Carolina and Chapel Hill for the State and City
  3. Choose 501 Pharmacy
  4. Input your Last Name, Rx Number, and Date of Birth
  5. Input Username and Password
  6. Set Pin Number

How to Refill Medications Through the App

  1. Once you login to the app, select “Refill Medications”
  2. Click on the person who is needing to refill the medication
  3. Choose one or multiple medications needed to be refilled
  4. Select “Pick Up” or “Delivery” for your medication, then select “Submit Refill”
  5. Receive a confirmation email

How to Set up Reminders in the App

  1. Once you login to the app, select “Reminders”
  2. Touch “Create New Reminder”
  3. Select the person for whom you are creating a reminder
  4. Select the medication that you wish to create a reminder for and touch “Continue”
  5. Use the tabs at the top to select the frequency of your reminder and touch “Continue”
  6. Set up the reminder time and touch “Save Reminder”

We did it! We won “Favorite Pharmacy” in Chapel Hill Magazine’s Best of Chapel Hill 2019 Issue. This is the third year in a row since opening that we have taken home the title of favorite pharmacy.  Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote.

In case you missed out this year, Chapel Hill Magazine has an annual poll which allows you to vote for your favorites in dining, retail, services, home and garden, and art and entertainment. We would also like to give a shoutout to one of our neighbors Capp’s Pizzeria & Trattoria. They took home the award for best pizza.

501 Pharmacy is pleased to offer adherence packaging to our pharmacy customers! This special packaging is an easy-to-use way to manage multi-dose prescriptions. Managing multi-dose prescriptions is not easy and inadequate medication adherence is a widespread problem that contributes to increased chronic disease complications and health care expenditures.
