What’s Cackalacky? Around the turn of the century in the heart of the Carolinas – long before “local” was a thing – they set out on a mission to turn their love of authentic and imaginative local food and drink, original music, and the great outdoors into “something for people everywhere to enjoy!” And, well, that’s exactly what they did. They called their original food, beverage, and clothing creations, “Cackalacky®” (pronounced “cack-A-lacky”) – a word that they rescued from relative obscurity that they thought perfectly captured the spirit of their lofty-minded endeavors.
Unfortunately, sometimes back-t0-school means back-to-lice treatments. The good news is we have partnered with Pediatric Hair Solutions to offer a physician-formulated and clinically tested product that doesn’t use harmful chemicals. Stop in and talk with our staff about it today.

Five Acres Honey Farm is a Certified Naturally Grown apiary in Pittsboro maintained by Certified Beekeeper Tara Lynne Groth. Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) is a national accreditation known as “the grassroots alternative to certified organic.” Five Acres Honey Farm maintains one of only three CNG apiaries within 100 miles of Raleigh, North Carolina. Annually inspected, CNG apiaries are recognized for using natural beekeeping practices without synthetic chemicals, antibiotics, or GMOs. 🐝
Five Acres Honey Farm minimally-filters raw honey and only uses glass jars. As a small-batch producer, Five Acres Honey Farm hand-pours and labels every jar.
These are just a few of the many reasons we chose to carry Five Acres Honey Farm honey. They will have a website in the next few weeks that we will share with all of you so you can get more information.
