☀️ Don’t Let the Burn Spoil the Fun
As we head into peak sun season, remember that your skin is your body’s largest organ—protect it! We recommend wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 whenever you’re outdoors.
- Peak Hours: Try to stay in the shade between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Reapply Often: Reapply every two hours, or more frequently if you are swimming or sweating.
- Selection: We carry a wide variety of brands, including water-resistant formulas and mineral-based options for sensitive skin. Not sure which one is best for your skin type? Just ask!
🤧 Spring/Summer Allergies are Real
Yes, allergies can hit during the summer months as well! These can be triggered by various allergens like grass and weed pollen, mold, and insect bites and stings, with symptoms ranging from sneezing and a runny or stuffy nose to itchy eyes and skin rashes. Fight these allergies by taking allergy medicine before heading outside, showering after spending time outdoors, washing your clothes, and keeping your windows and doors closed.
Stop by our OTC aisle and we can help you choose between non-drowsy antihistamines, nasal sprays, or eye drops to find the perfect fit for your symptoms.
🎓 Celebrating Our Students: Past and Present
Education is a huge part of the 501 Pharmacy mission, and this month, we are buzzing with student activity!
Welcome Our New interns! We are thrilled to host two first-year pharmacy student interns this month:
- Kathleen from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!)
- Fatmata from High Point University
They are both eager to learn the ropes of community pharmacy, so please give them a warm 501 welcome when you see them behind the counter!
Congratulations, Connor! We have a bittersweet announcement as we say goodbye to Connor. Many of you know Connor from his time as a High Point University intern in 2023 and his hard work as a technician on our weekend shifts.

Connor has officially graduated and is moving on to a prestigious residency program with Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy. We are incredibly proud of his hard work and dedication. While we will miss him dearly, we know he’s going to do amazing things. Best of luck, Connor!
