Every October—and beyond—we honor the strength, courage, and resilience of those affected by breast cancer—and we want to remind our community how important early detection and regular care truly are. Why Early Detection Matters
Early detection of breast cancer significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and recovery, which is why it’s essential to stay proactive about screenings and self-checks. Schedule routine mammograms as recommended by your healthcare provider, perform monthly self-exams, and be sure to report any changes—such as new lumps, swelling, or skin changes—to your doctor.
Taking Care Beyond Screenings
Prevention and overall wellness play a big role in supporting breast health. A balanced diet, regular exercise, limited alcohol use, and not smoking can all help lower your risk.
