We Offer Compounding for Humans and Pets
When it comes to medications, some people have more unique needs than others. And, so, we are pleased to offer compounding for our customers at 501 Pharmacy to help make your life easier! Compounding is the process by which a licensed pharmacist or physician combines, mixes, or alters a medication to tailor it specifically to a person’s needs.
At 501, we offer compounding for prescription items that may not be commercially available, as well as for medications that are readily available on the market but are more competitive in price when we produce them for you (often an alternative for prescription creams). It also allows us to provide alternative methods of treatment for kids, adults, and pets who have trouble taking medicines that are prescribed in tablet/capsule form. Even if your prescription is only in tablet/capsule form, we have options for you!
How Compounding Works
Place your order like you would any prescription, and we will confirm if we can produce a compounding alternative. If we can compound it for you, you’ll then receive a timeframe for production, which is usually within just 48 hours, and sometimes even 24 hours.
