We Are a Drop-off Site for the Chatham Reads Book Drive!
We believe in the power of literacy here at 501 Pharmacy, and think everyone should have access to great books, which is why we are excited to be a drop-off site for Chatham Education Foundation‘s Chatham Reads book drive!
The partnership led by Chatham County Schools, the Chatham Education Foundation, and other local community organizations aims to enhance literary and foster partnerships that are dedicated to ensuring reading resources are accessible to all Chatham County residents. Chatham Reads is also a community partner with the National Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, which helps children from low-income families succeed in school and prepares them for college and a career.
What We Need From You
We have a bin ready to be filled with mostly new or gently used books for reading levels K-12 at the pharmacy. The next time you come in to see us, bring some books that you no longer want—or pick up some new ones!—and drop them off. Together, we can help bring joy to those who do not have access to books and ensure literacy for all of Chatham County.
