We Are a Dropoff Location for PORCH Donations!

We’re excited to let you know that we are an official dropoff location for donations for PORCH’s Briar Chapel chapter! PORCH Briar Chapel is a volunteer-driven hunger relief organization that gathers nonperishable food donations. These donations go to the CORA Food Pantry, which offers emergency food assistance to community members in Chatham County who are experiencing food insecurity.

On the second Friday of each month, PORCH collects food contributions left on the “porch” of neighborhood participants, one of those being us! A PORCH Friday typically consists of about 2,000–3,000 pounds of food contributions that is then distributed via the CORA truck to local needy families and individuals. Since February 2024, PORCH volunteers have collected and delivered 2,766 pounds of food!
